Activities

SINCIERE Cooperation Projects

Norwegian and Chinese researchers have a long history of cooperation on environmental research. Within the SINCIERE network projects include cooperation on acid rain, mercury, air quality etc.

Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE)

NVE represents the state’s specialized expertise in water resources and energy management. The Hydrology Section is a national centre of expertise for hydrology and has Norway’s largest research community in the field.

Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA)

The NIVA foundation is an internationally oriented centre of expertise in environmental and resource issues related to water. NIVA conducts research and development, carries out studies, and prepares reports, as well as disseminates information on water-related issues.

Members of the CIENS partnership

The CIENS partnership currently consists of eight members and one associated member. A total staff of around 500 – representing the natural sciences, technology, the social sciences, and economics – will work together at the centre.
